First Merchants Bank seeks a seasoned Relationship Manager IV to lead commercial sales and relationship management, growing market share and broadening revenue in the Grand Rapids market. You will manage client portfolios and ensure superior service.

You will implement aggressive sales strategies, assess credit needs, review financials with clients, extend credit within limits, and mentor teammates while maintaining risk controls and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of commercial banking experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement an aggressive sales and marketing strategy to develop new and existing relationships.
• Identify and develop prospects into significant new relationships with yearly income targets.
• Cross-sell opportunities and expand revenue within portfolios.
• Ensure reporting tools are used to track progress.
• Provide exceptional customer service and exceed expectations.
• Monitor loans and customer credit profiles to ensure terms and mitigate risk.
• Extend credit within assigned limits after evaluating business needs and collateral.
• Support employee development, coaching, and leadership; may supervise others.
