Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager in the Global Engineering Services NA Design & Construction team. You will autonomously manage complex industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution across the NA region.

You will lead design management, budgeting, and procurement, while mentoring other preconstruction managers and driving stakeholder alignment. Relocation assistance may be provided and up to 60% travel is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 7+ years of project management experience from design through implementation.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% (nationwide).
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistical facilities is a plus.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage complex, cross-functional preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion and permitting.
• Lead site selection, validation, scope development, and design management across multiple locations.
• Oversee design management end-to-end, including design evaluations and value engineering.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and procurement; supervise external vendors.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, and Construction teams to meet deadlines.
• Mentor and develop other preconstruction managers within the organization.
• Communicate budgets, schedules, risks, and decisions to Directors and VPs.
• Drive process improvements and best practices across the region.
