Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager in NA D&C to serve as the senior owner's representative during preconstruction. You will autonomously manage complex industrial projects from site selection to permit approvals, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to define scope, budget, and schedule.

You will lead design management, budgets, procurement, and vendor selection, while mentoring other preconstruction managers and driving best practices across the region.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of project management experience from design through operation, including negotiating contracts.
• Travel up to 60% (Nationwide) and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Own and autonomously manage complex preconstruction projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution across the region.
• Lead site selection, validation, scope development, and design management in line with Amazon's standards.
• Oversee end-to-end design evaluations and conformance reviews; drive value engineering when needed.
• Manage multiple large projects across locations with limited oversight; mentor PCM leaders.
