Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to act as the senior owner’s representative during the preconstruction phase. You will autonomously manage complex industrial projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution across your region.

You will lead planning, design, and preconstruction activities, manage budgets and external partners, and mentor other preconstruction managers while traveling up to 60% annually to various sites and corporate offices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of related experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or owner’s representation.
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistical facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and enforce safety programs across all project teams during planning and preconstruction phases.
• Lead site selection, design management, and regulatory permitting activities.
• Oversee design evaluations, conformance reviews, and value engineering assessments.
• Manage multiple large industrial projects across locations with limited oversight.
• Drive risk management, budgets, schedules, and procurement with stakeholders.
