B&B Concrete is seeking an experienced Rebar Estimator to join our remote estimating team. The ideal candidate will review structural drawings, perform reinforcing‑steel takeoffs, and develop labor and material pricing for bids and preconstruction.

This role requires independent review of plans, identification of constructability issues, and reliable estimates of cost and risk. You will mentor junior estimators, help establish estimating templates, and support preconstruction and project

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years reinforcing-steel industry experience; experience estimating reinforcing steel.
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.
• Strong reading of structural drawings and specifications.
• Experience with large concrete and industrial projects.
• Knowledge of fabrication and field placement of reinforcing steel.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools listed.

Aufgaben

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from structural drawings and specifications.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment, freight and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions based on project conditions.
• Identify constructability concerns and scope gaps.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates.
• Assist management in bid strategy and pricing.
• Coordinate RFIs and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Lead documentation and maintain estimate records.
