B&B Concrete is seeking an experienced Rebar Estimator to join our remote team. You will serve as a technical resource for estimating, project management and operations, helping establish estimating standards and production-rate databases.

The ideal candidate has extensive reinforcing-steel experience, strong reading of structural drawings, and the ability to develop reliable cost estimates and risk analyses for large concrete projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry with hands-on estimating or detailing experience.
• Ability to read structural drawings and specifications with constructability insight.
• Experience with large concrete projects and major contractors is highly valued.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, labor, equipment and freight estimates.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project conditions.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability issues.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates and bid strategy.
