Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Track and Civil Engineer to grow our Rail + Transit team in the Pacific Northwest. You will lead track alignment, coordination with signaling and power systems, and oversee design across planning to construction support.

The role offers opportunities on major programs in Washington and Oregon, mentoring staff and supporting business development. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of rail experience, PE licensure, and strong technical knowledge of track geometry and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• Approximately 8+ years of progressive experience in rail track and civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state, or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience delivering rail infrastructure projects with various rail types.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical resource for track and civil design on major rail and transit projects.
• Lead development of track alignments, turnouts, crossovers, and layouts for stations, corridors, yards, and facilities.
• Develop and review engineering plans, specifications, design criteria, calculations, and reports.
• Coordinate with signaling, traction power, overhead systems, and other disciplines for integrated solutions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support business development activities.
