Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Track and Civil Engineer to join our Rail & Transit team. The role focuses on leading track design, alignments, and corridor integration across US rail projects, collaborating with signaling, traction power, and civil disciplines.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in rail track design, PE licensure, and strong leadership. This role offers growth within a national practice and opportunities to mentor engineers while delivering complex rail solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in rail track design across various rail modes.
• Licensed PE in at least one U.S. state (reciprocity ok).
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience leading complex rail projects and teams.
• Strong track geometry and corridor integration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead track design on major rail projects across the U.S.
• Develop horizontal/vertical alignments, turnouts, yard layouts.
• Oversee engineering plans, criteria, and reports.
• Coordinate with signaling, traction power, OCS, and civil teams.
• Provide senior technical review and risk guidance.
• Mentor junior engineers and support BD activities.
• Interface with clients and regulatory authorities.
