Job summary

TYLin is seeking an experienced Senior Track and Civil Engineer to join our Rail + Transit team in the Pacific Northwest. This role targets rail professionals with 8–12 years of experience, capable of leading track/civil design within complex transportation projects.

You will plan, design and deliver rail infrastructure across the region, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other disciplines through all project phases, including design and construction support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in rail track and civil engineering.
• Experience delivering rail infrastructure projects (various rail types).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one US state, or ability to obtain licensure via reciprocity.
• Strong knowledge of track geometry, alignment, and rail infrastructure integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of horizontal and vertical track alignments, turnouts, crossovers, and layouts.
• Coordinate with signaling, traction power, OCS, communications, and civil disciplines.
• Develop and review engineering plans, calculations, and reports.
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and support project delivery.
• Support business development activities and client interactions.
