Hitachi Rail in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Senior Bid & Proposal Manager to lead large, complex bids from qualification to contract award. You will work with engineering, sales, legal, and finance to craft winning technical solutions and commercial proposals.

This fast-paced role requires 10-15 years of bid management experience, strong communication, and travel willingness. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Lead bid lifecycle from qualification to award.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define bid strategies.
• Develop technical solutions and formulate commercial proposals.
• Analyze customer requirements and RFPs to identify winning factors.
• Create bid plans, schedules and budgets; ensure timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire bid lifecycle from initial qualification to contract award.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, legal, finance, operations) to develop bids.
• Develop and maintain bid plans, schedules, and budgets with timely delivery of proposals.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and customers.
• Mentor junior bid team members and improve bid processes.
