Job summary

Commence is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher focused on Alternative Payment Model implementation and evaluation, supporting CMS/CMMI projects and federal health research initiatives.

The role bridges implementation and evaluation, partnering with data science and engineering to drive actionable insights and methodological rigor using the Commence platform. Remote-ready with periodic travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing or evaluating CMS/CMMI APMs.
• Ability to translate policy goals into methodologies using Medicare/Medicaid data.
• Strong analytical and writing skills for federal reports and proposals.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct evaluations of CMS/CMMI APMs, including plan, data, and impact assessments.
• Lead methodology documents, evaluation reports, and briefings for model teams.
• Collaborate with economists, data scientists, and engineers on the Commence platform.
• Develop technical approaches for federal proposals and manage client-facing work.
