Job summary

Commence is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher for implementation and evaluation of CMS/CMMI alternative payment models. You will translate policy goals into operational designs and lead analytics on the Commence platform to improve health program performance.

The role requires hands-on experience with CMS/CMMI models, advanced analytics, and collaboration across economists, data scientists, and engineers. Remote work is offered, with occasional client meetings and travel.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics, health services research, health policy, public health, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing and/or evaluating CMS/CMMI alternative payment models.
• Experience with both implementation and evaluation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement CMS/CMMI APMs; translate policy goals into operational methods.
• Design evaluations using methods like difference-in-differences or event studies; estimate impact on spending and quality.
• Collaborate with economists, data scientists, and engineers to develop methodology documents and reports.
