Job summary

Commence is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher to lead CMS/CMMI alternative payment model implementation and evaluation. You will translate policy goals into operational methodologies using Medicare/Medicaid data and collaborate with economists, data scientists, and engineers on the Commence platform.

The role requires hands-on implementation and evaluation, developing methodologies, conducting evaluations, and delivering clear, actionable briefings to federal clients.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./Dr. in economics, health services research, health policy or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing/evaluating CMS/CMMI APMs preferred.
• Experience with both implementation and evaluation is preferred.
• Proficiency with Medicare/Medicaid administrative and claims data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMS/CMMI APM implementation tasks and evaluations.
• Design and conduct evaluations using robust methodologies (diff-in-diff, event studies).
• Collaborate with economists, data scientists and engineers on the Commence platform.
• Prepare methodology documents, evaluation reports and client briefings.
