Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to configure and support critical hardware and software for public safety customers in a remote United States role. The position requires night/weekend/on-call responsibilities and hands-on expertise with SQL Server, Windows Server, and network infra.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience configuring and supporting complex hardware and software systems in public safety environments.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays; on-call rotation.
• Preferred: PremierOne or similar high-availability public safety platforms; F5 & Fortigate experience; SQL Server tuning.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support complex hardware and software systems deployed in public safety customer environments
• Resolve highly critical customer issues received via phone, email, and web portal with professionalism
• Collaborate across technical groups to streamline workflows and deliver rapid, high-quality resolutions
• Troubleshoot and analyze system-level software, networking, and third-party components
• Identify root causes of application failures and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrences
• Maintain continuous operational availability of local and remote customer implementations
• Work as a self-directed technical resource and as a collaborative team member
• Share domain knowledge on application behavior and database performance
• Participate in rotational off-hours on-call schedule to support emergency system restoration
