Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer to join our national proposals team, based in Florida with in-office requirements four days a week and one day remote. You will develop competitive proposals for public-sector clients, coordinate with service leaders, and ensure compliance and timely delivery.

In this role you will leverage InDesign and Deltek Vantagepoint to craft technical narratives and qualification packages, supporting SOCOTEC’s building envelope and sustainability practices

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in proposal writing, estimating, and qualifications preparation, preferably within an architecture, engineering, or consulting firm with public-sector experience.
• Established knowledge of Florida municipalities, state agencies, and public-sector procurement processes strongly preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and written communication skills, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while juggling multiple proposals.
• Comfortable collaborating in-office with technical leaders across multiple disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree required; experience in architecture, engineering, or related field desirable.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate proposal responses for public-sector clients.
• Collaborate with service line leaders to define scope and fees.
• Prepare technical proposals and qualifications packages tailored to procurement requirements.
• Coordinate with Legal and Finance to produce complete packages.
• Provide quality control and ensure on-time delivery of proposals.
• Maintain CRM data and support regional stakeholder engagement.
