Job summary

SOCOTEC US in Charlestown, MA seeks a Senior Proposal Writer to join our national proposals team. This full-time role requires four days in-office with up to one day remote per week.

You will develop proposals for public-sector clients, coordinate with service line leaders, and ensure compliance and timely delivery while strengthening relationships across Massachusetts and New England. Qualifications include 3–5 years in proposal writing, a BA/BS in a related field, and proficiency with InDesign

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum in proposal writing, estimating, and qualifications prep; public-sector exp. preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MA/N.E. municipalities and public procurement processes.
• Excellent organizational and written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree required; architecture/engineering background desirable.
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign and MS Office; Deltek Vantagepoint desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily team scrum to review proposal priorities and progress.
• Review qualification and proposal requests; identify appropriate service line input on scope and fees.
• Develop technical proposals and qualifications packages for public-sector procurement.
• Conduct research and meetings with service line leaders to reflect SOCOTEC’s expertise.
• Maintain familiarity with MA towns, state agencies, and institutions to strengthen responsiveness.
• Review proposals with technical leaders; update per input and ensure client requirements.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to produce complete packages.
• Provide QC review of proposals prepared by others for accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Serve as liaison with local clients to obtain clarifications and support relationships.
• Enter client and project data in Deltek CRM.
• Coordinate with Proposal Team Manager to refine templates, narratives, and graphics.
