Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer to join the national proposals team and base in a Florida office (Tampa, Naples, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Gables, or Orlando). Four days in-office, up to one day remote.

You will craft proposals for public-sector clients, coordinate with service lines, and ensure timely, compliant submissions. Responsibilities include developing technical proposals, coordinating inputs with department leaders, and maintaining CRM data.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proposal writing experience, preferably in architecture/engineering/public-sector.
• Experience preparing proposals, qualifications, and estimates.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with public-sector procurement and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical proposals and qualifications packages tailored to procurement requirements.
• Coordinate response packages in InDesign and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with service line leaders to gather input on scope and fees.
• Maintain familiarity with regional procurement practices and client expectations.
• Review proposals with technical leads and update per input.
• Coordinate with Legal and Finance to complete packages.
• Provide quality control and ensure on-time delivery.
• Serve as liaison with local clients to obtain clarifications and support relationships.
• Enter client and project data in Deltek CRM.
• Refine templates, narratives, and graphics based on client needs.
