Job summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Proposal Specialist III to join the West Region team, collaborating on pursuits including EOIs, RFQs, RFPs and pre-qualification efforts. The role offers a remote work schedule and can be based from any US location where AECOM has an office.

You will lead medium to large proposals from capture to interview, draft outlines, and act as lead writer/editor. The role requires strong writing, editing, and project management, plus the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in proposal activities.
• Strong proposal and presentation strategy, compliance, and writing.
• Advanced writing, editing, and project management skills.
• Strong analytical skills for RFP/RFQ analysis.
• Proficiency in Adobe CC (InDesign, Acrobat) and MS Office.
• Experience with proposal management software and data visualization.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large proposals from capture through to interview.
• Create annotated outlines and content plan; advise on section structures.
• Serve as lead writer/editor for resumes, past performance, executive summaries, and management approaches.
• Facilitate color reviews, quality reviews, and apply lessons learned to revisions.
• Participate in go/no-go and greenlight analyses per guidelines and planning.
• Complete internal debriefs and support win/loss reviews with client feedback.
• Support marketing or pursuits strategy and content development as needed.
• Perform a self-check of work prior to submission.
