Job summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Proposal Specialist III to join the West Region business development and operations team on pursuits, including EOIs, RFQs, and RFPs. The role offers remote work flexibility and can be based from locations in the US where AECOM has an office.

You will lead medium to large proposals from capture through interview, develop outlines, and serve as lead writer/editor for resumes, past performance, and executive summaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience leading and supporting proposal activities for key clients and strategic pursuits
• Advanced proficiency in proposal writing, editing, and project management
• Strong analytical skills for RFP/RFQ analysis and data-driven decision making
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
• Willingness to work extended hours during peak proposal periods when necessary

Responsibilities

• Leads medium to large proposals and presentations, from capture through interview, with support as required
• Creates annotated outlines and content plans and advises technical teams on section structures
• May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes, past performance, executive summaries and management approaches
• Facilitates color reviews and quality reviews, implementing revisions per guidance
• Provides input on go/no-go and greenlight analyses and capture planning activities
• Completes internal debriefs and supports win/loss debriefs with client feedback
• Supports marketing or pursuit strategy and content development related to clients/markets as needed
• Performs a self-check of work prior to submission
