Job summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Proposal Specialist III to join the West Region business development and operations team on pursuits such as EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, and pre-qualification efforts. This remote-friendly role supports the process of winning work and coordinating proposal strategy.

The position emphasizes leading medium to large proposals, coordinating with capture managers, and delivering high-quality written content and presentations for client solicitations across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience leading and supporting proposal activities for key clients and strategic pursuits.
• Understanding of proposal and presentation strategy development, compliance, and production.
• Advanced proficiency in proposal writing, editing, and project management.
• Strong analytical skills for RFP/RFQ analysis and data-driven decision making.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign/Acrobat) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with proposal management software and data visualization tools.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak proposal periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large proposals and presentations from discovery through interview stage.
• Provide capture support and help develop win strategies during capture and interviews.
• Serve as lead writer/editor for resumes, past performance sections, and management approaches.
• Facilitate color reviews and quality reviews, implement revisions from review teams.
• Support go/no-go and greenlight analyses and capture planning related to preparation.
• Contribute to debriefs and client feedback collection for continuous improvement.
• Assist with marketing or pursuits strategy and content development as needed.
• Perform self-checks of work before submission.
