Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Proposal Specialist III to join the West Region team, supporting pursuits from capture through interview. You will lead medium to large proposals, coordinate with business development and operations, and ensure bid compliance with our standard processes.

You’ll serve as lead writer/editor for resumes, past performance, executive summaries, and management approaches, and you’ll help with color and quality reviews while coaching junior staff. Remote-friendly role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of proposal activities leadership within marketing.
• Understanding of proposal strategy, compliance, and production.
• Advanced proficiency in writing, editing, and project management.
• Strong analytical skills for RFP/RFQ analysis and data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign/Acrobat) and MS Office.
• Experience with proposal management software and data visualization tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads medium to large proposals from capture through interview with support as needed.
• Creates outlines and content plans; advises technical teams on section structure.
• May serve as lead writer/editor for resumes, past performance, exec summaries, and management approaches.
• Facilitates color reviews, quality reviews, and applies lessons to proposals.
• Participates in go/no-go and greenlight analyses per governance guidelines.
• Completes internal debriefs and supports bid reviews with client feedback.
• Supports marketing or pursuits strategy and content development as needed.
• Coaches entry level proposal team members and performs self-checks prior to submission.
