Job summary

AECOM is seeking a highly talented Proposal Specialist III to work with the West Region BD and operations team on pursuits, including EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, and pre-qualification efforts. This role offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule and can be based from a variety of US locations where AECOM has an office.

As a Proposal Specialist III, you will lead responses, coordinate with technical teams, and manage color reviews, ensuring bid compliance and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years experience leading and supporting proposal activities for key clients and strategic pursuits.
• Advanced understanding of proposal strategy, compliance, writing and production.
• Proven ability in proposal writing, editing and project management.
• Strong analytical skills for RFP/RFQ analysis and data-driven decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large proposals and presentations from capture through interview.
• Serve as lead writer/editor for resumes, past performance, executive summaries, and management approaches.
• Facilitate color reviews and quality reviews; apply lessons learned to bids.
• Support go/no-go and greenlight analyses in line with governance guidelines.
• Provide market research and competitive intelligence to inform proposal strategy.
• Mentor entry-level proposal team members and perform self-checks before submission.
