Job summary

Milestone Retirement Communities is seeking a Property & Revenue Compliance Manager to oversee multi-state personal property tax compliance, unclaimed property reporting, and vendor credits. You will collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Business Office Managers, and Executive Directors to ensure accuracy and timely filings.

The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, plus a track record in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Compliance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections management, asset recovery, or compliance.
• Experience in multi-site or regulated environments.
• Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain multi-state annual tax filing calendars for personal property taxes.
• Prepare and file personal property tax returns, affidavits, exemption forms, and documentation.
• Review assessment notices; coordinate corrections or appeals where appropriate.
• Track and verify personal property tax payments to ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and submit unclaimed property reports for all applicable states.
