Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service two sister communities in the United States. The role involves diagnosing defects, performing repairs, and coordinating make-ready tasks to prepare units for leasing. The technician will maintain common areas and building exteriors to Greystar standards.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, safety inspections, and partnering with vendors. A high school diploma and hands-on maintenance experience are required, with EPA Type I/II

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep across two sister communities.
• Oversees the make-ready process for vacant apartments, schedules vendors, and inspects completed work.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspects work by service team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and coordinates with the Community Manager on restocking.
