Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities include completing resident work orders, preparing vacant units, maintaining grounds, inspecting contractors, managing supply inventory, and supporting budget planning and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math for records and orders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues per policy and safety standards.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant units and inspections.
• Maintain grounds, exteriors, signage, and common areas to Greystar standards.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors; implement corrective actions.
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies within budget guidelines.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in documents.
• Assist in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Ensure safety compliance and MSDS documentation up to OSHA standards.
