Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring our community meets high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will handle work orders, manage make-readies for vacant units, and coordinate with vendors while upholding Greystar’s quality standards.

Ideal candidates bring high school diploma or GED, maintenance experience, hand tools, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related field preferred.
• Must provide own hand tools where allowed by state law; safe use of tools required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; able to interact with residents and team members.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and record-keeping; familiarity with maintenance systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep across two sister communities.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing; coordinate vendors as needed.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work of team members and contractors to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies; assist Community Manager with budget and cost control.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance; keep MSDS sheets current.
