Job summary

Swiss Re seeks a Senior Property Facultative Underwriter to assess and underwrite a broad mix of properties, leveraging modeling tools to tailor reinsurance solutions. You will engage clients directly to meet their needs and help optimize our facultative portfolio.

You will collaborate with teams to expand market presence, drive efficient processes, and manage risk across national and international channels. Hybrid in-office work is expected in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, concentration in Risk Management is a plus.
• 6-10 years of single risk underwriting experience in either primary or reinsurance markets.
• Working knowledge of insurance modeling and conceptual understanding of rating tools and underwriting systems.
• Experience with the U.S. property insurance market.
• Adept decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite risks for a wide range of industries, such as offices, schools, public entities, manufacturing, warehousing, and other sectors within SME and Middle Market.
• Interact directly with clients to resolve insurance needs while improving facultative portfolio.
• Manage portfolio risk with data-driven tools that provide clarity on exposure aggregations and pricing metrics.
• Build and nurture relationships with internal and external business partners, engaging clients to understand and meet their specific needs.
• Develop marketing strategies in collaboration with colleagues, building key relationships in your region while expanding into broader national and international channels.
• Lead execution of business strategy across a diverse national customer and broker network.
• Drive efficiency improvements by optimizing existing processes and implementing new tools.
