Job summary

Swiss Re is seeking a Property Facultative Underwriter to evaluate and underwrite property accounts across industries within defined authority, leveraging advanced modeling tools and underwriting judgment for reinsurance solutions.

You will collaborate with clients and brokers, handle portfolio risk with data-driven insights, and contribute to marketing strategies while expanding your knowledge across industry classes and placement structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance or Risk Management preferred.
• 4–8 years of commercial property underwriting experience.
• Experience with U.S. property insurance market.
• Knowledge of insurance modeling and rating tools.
• Strong decision-making and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite risks for offices, schools, manufacturers, and other sectors within SME/Middle Market.
• Collaborate with clients and brokers to address reinsurance needs and portfolio improvement.
• Manage portfolio risk using data-driven tools and pricing metrics.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners, engaging brokers and clients.
• Support marketing strategies and develop regional to national channels.
• Assist in executing business strategy with regional and product colleagues.
• Help optimize processes and adopt new tools.
