Job summary

Swiss Re’s Property Facultative team is seeking an experienced underwriter to analyze property accounts across diverse industries, using sophisticated modeling tools and solid underwriting judgment to craft reinsurance solutions within defined authority.

You will collaborate with clients and brokers, assess risks from offices and schools to manufacturing and warehousing, support portfolio performance, and help drive network growth through strategic broker and client partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, concentration in Insurance or Risk Management is a plus.
• 4-8 years of relevant commercial property experience in underwriting or broking.
• Working knowledge of insurance modeling and underwriting systems.
• Experience with the U.S. property insurance market.
• Adept decision-making skills.
• Strong marketing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite risks for a wide range of industries including SMEs and Middle Market.
• Collaborate with clients and brokers to address reinsurance needs and portfolio improvement.
• Manage portfolio risk using data-driven tools and pricing metrics.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners to meet client needs.
• Contribute to marketing strategies and develop broker/client partnerships regionally.
• Support execution of business strategy across national client and broker network.
• Help optimize existing processes and adopt new tools.
