Job summary

Swiss Re in the US seeks a Property Facultative Underwriter to evaluate and underwrite property accounts across industries within defined authority. You will use advanced modeling tools and underwriting judgment to craft reinsurance solutions that meet client needs and support portfolio performance.

In a collaborative, channel-neutral environment with clients and brokers, you will build relationships and help optimize processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Insurance or Risk Management preferred.
4-8 years of relevant commercial property experience in underwriting or broking.
Working knowledge of insurance modeling and underwriting systems.
Experience with the U.S. property insurance market.
Adept decision-making skills.
Strong marketing and relationship-building skills to drive growth.

Responsibilities

Assess and underwrite risks for a wide range of industries including offices, schools, and manufacturing.
Collaborate with clients and brokers to address reinsurance needs and portfolio improvement.
Manage portfolio risk using data-driven tools for exposure and pricing insights.
Build relationships with internal and external partners and engage clients to meet needs.
Contribute to marketing strategies and develop broker/client partnerships nationwide.
Support implementation of business strategy across national networks and improve processes.
