Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to perform installation, maintenance and repair of propane and/or oil burning systems, HVAC units, equipment and appliances for SSC customers.

Some diesel/gasoline tank work may be required; adhere to federal/state codes and SSC procedures. The role includes coordinating with facility leadership for daily service dispatch, providing updates on installation schedules and job progress, and guiding customers in equipment choices.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical systems and HVAC is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with facility leadership regarding dispatch for installation, repair and maintenance of appliances and equipment.
• Safely install and repair propane, oil burning, diesel and/or gasoline systems per codes and SSC procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams to diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot systems.
• Represent SSC professionally, provide usage instructions and prepare invoices or collect payments as needed.
