Job summary

Southern States Cooperative is seeking an experienced technician to install, maintain, and repair propane and oil-based heating systems, HVAC units, and related equipment for SSC customers. The role may include diesel and gasoline equipment work and requires adherence to federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities include scheduling, diagnosing malfunctions, conducting site surveys, reviewing options with customers, and handling invoices.

Qualifications

• Requires two or more years of experience with installation and repair of propane or oil-based heating systems and related equipment.
• Licensing requirements vary by location; HVAC license or related trade certification may be required.
• Requires Commercial Driver's License (Class C/B) and hazardous materials/tanker endorsements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily service dispatches for installation, repair and maintenance of appliances and systems.
• Safely install and repair propane, oil, diesel and gasoline systems according to codes.
• Read blueprints and manuals to diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Provide prompt, professional service and communicate with customers; prepare invoices and records.
• Conduct site surveys and recommend equipment to meet capacity needs.
