Job summary

Southern States Cooperative is seeking a field service technician to install, maintain, and repair propane and/or oil burning systems and HVAC units for SSC customers.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot, document service, and coordinate with customers. CDL and state licenses required; extensive safety compliance and ability to work independently.

This role may involve load/delivery of fuels and equipment, and requires strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• Requires HVAC, Propane or related trade license
• Propane and/or oil heating system experience
• Commercial driver's license (Class C or B) depending location
• Hazardous Materials and/or Tanker Endorsement (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Must pass required training and certification

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain propane and oil burning systems per codes
• Read electrical/mechanical diagrams and diagnose malfunctions
• Communicate with customers and schedule service, provide invoices
• Load/deliver fuel where required
• Maintain inventory and complete paperwork
