Job summary

Southern States Cooperative in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Service Technician responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of propane and/or oil burning systems and related appliances. You will work with customers, dispatch operations, and ensure compliance with codes and SSC procedures.

Responsibilities include evaluating site needs, calibrating equipment, reading blueprints, and delivering reliable service while maintaining vehicle and equipment records.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Requires Petroleum and/or Propane Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Requires Commercial Driver's License (Class C or B) depending on location.
• Hazardous Materials and/or Tanker Endorsement (or ability to obtain).
• Requires three or more years of experience for Grade 427; two years for Grade 426.

Responsibilities

• Plan the schedule for repair, installation and service of equipment and appliances in coordination with supervisor.
• Safely install and repair propane, oil burning, diesel and gasoline systems and related equipment per codes.
• Read blueprints and diagnose malfunctions to troubleshoot systems.
• Communicate with customers and maintain service records and invoices.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance and ensure safety compliance.

Education
