Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. (SSC) seeks experienced Service Technicians to install, repair and maintain propane and oil heating systems, HVAC units, and related equipment for SSC customers.

You will read blueprints, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure compliance with federal/state codes while delivering reliable, courteous service and coordinating with dispatch and customers. Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Grade-based experience levels; 420/426/427 indicate increasing repair/install experience.
• Requires Petroleum and/or Propane Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required (Class C or B based on location).
• Licensing varies by location; HVAC/Propane related licenses preferred or required.
• Hazardous Materials/Tanker Endorsement may be required (or obtain).
• Apprentice HVAC license or related trade preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with facility leadership regarding dispatching, installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Safely install and repair propane, oil burning, diesel and/or gasoline systems and appliances according to codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to diagnose malfunctions and perform installations.
• Represent SSC professionally, provide usage instructions, and handle invoicing and follow-up with customers.
• Discuss new equipment sales and conduct site surveys to meet capacity needs.
• Operate SSC commercial vehicles safely and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Load/deliver fuels where applicable and manage parts inventory and warehouse tasks.
• Assist with training and coaching of technicians as required.
