Job summary

K&A Power Group in Hartford, CT seeks a Project Manager II to lead complex engineering and construction programs for power utilities. You will coordinate schedules, manage costs, review contracts, and drive bid and procurement activities across multiple functions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering/Construction Management, 10–15 years of experience including major projects, PMP preferred, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Travel to the office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• 10–15 years’ experience with 3+ years managing major engineering/procurement/construction activities.
• Strong Safety-First Focus.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to travel to office for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external resources (engineering, outage planning, permitting, etc.).
• Drive project schedule, manage scope, and control costs.
• Assist with siting requirements and related documentation.
• Administer RFIs, submittals, requisitions, invoices, and change orders.
• Conduct recurring team meetings and track action items.
• Coordinate change management with Owner and contractors.
• Administer contracts for construction phase and owner-supplied materials.
• Coordinate between material vendors and construction contractors.
• Develop and review technical bid documents.
• Prepare project cost sheets and presentations.
• Report progress, cost, schedule, procurement, safety, and design questions.
• Support the integration of E-Builder and ERP systems.
