K&A Power Group in Berlin, CT is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to lead cost and schedule management for critical transmission, distribution, and capital projects. You will drive resource-loaded schedules, baseline management, and PMIS utilization to provide actionable insights and robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant electric utility experience.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis, financial modeling and reporting.
• Experience with utility capital investment models is a plus.
• Cash flow forecasting and management for capital projects (internal labor and contractors).
• PO financial tracking and oversight.
• Financial risk assessment and mitigation for investment objectives.
• Capital portfolio planning, monitoring and performance management.
• Identification and communication of financial risks and opportunities.
• Strong data management and presentation skills for actionable insights.
• Experience delivering executive-level reporting across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Project Schedules from initiation through closeout for Transmission/Capital/Distribution projects.
• Ensure resource-loaded schedules with proper logic and durations reflecting constraints.
• Develop, maintain, analyze, and manage project activities and resources to support requirements.
• Implement Baseline Management for cost and schedule and track variances.
• Monitor baselines against actual performance and ensure adherence to PMIS standards.
• Coordinate with PMO and various departments to reflect scheduling/cost controls.
• Communicate project status and resource loading with team members and management.
• Prepare weekly meetings to review status and resolve schedule conflicts.
• Support cost control and accounting processes and process improvements.
• Engage with senior management on reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
