Senior Project Manager – Hartford, Connecticut
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at K&A Power Group. In this role, you will lead projects in the energy and utility sectors, working with engineering, design, and construction teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Role Expectations
- Provide high-level project management overview, expertise, and direction.
- Lead overall project management with knowledge of overhead, substation, and underground segments, including schedule and budget management.
- Initiate, plan, execute, and close projects—defining the WBS, cost baseline, and OBS structure and controlling risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Facilitate team commitment and productivity, removing obstacles and managing team dynamics.
- Oversee the engineering team and support field & design functions.
- Implement and manage quality and environmental processes on all projects.
- Manage third‑party projects.
- Accountable and responsible for:

- Communication Management

- Schedule Management
- Construction Management Oversight
- Commissioning Management Oversight
- Risk Management
- Regulatory and Stakeholder Management
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management (preferred).
- PMP certification (preferred).
- 20+ years of experience managing large‑scale utility projects.
- Strong experience with EPC projects, contract models, and project management tools.
- Safety‑first focus.
- Knowledge of project management processes and tools.
- Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under competing priorities and stressful situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel to office for meetings.
Pay Range
$140,000—$160,000 per year
