Job summary

K&A Power Group, a private engineering firm serving utility and industrial clients, seeks a Senior Project Manager in Hartford, Connecticut. You will lead transmission asset capital projects, focusing on early scoping, asset conditions, capital planning, and advancing work to construction-ready status within the Shovel-Ready Initiative.

Responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing scope and costs, reviewing siting documents, and delivering progress reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred; other degrees considered with equivalent experience.
• Ten years related experience, including at least three years in Project Management.
• Experience in transmission line construction is highly desirable.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Willingness to travel MA/CT/NH and participate in emergency restoration as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external resources to support project scope (Engineering, Outage Planning, Site/Permitting, Stakeholder Engagement, Scheduling, Safety, Cost Analysis, Procurement, Contract Administration, Field inspections).
• Drive project schedule, manage scope, and control costs.
• Develop and review siting documents, RFIs, Submittals, requisitions, invoices, and Change Orders.
• Lead recurring team meetings and support change management negotiations with Owner and contractors.
• Prepare cost sheets and presentations; report on progress, costs, and safety concerns; support ERP/Storm systems.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
