Job description

Purpose of the Job

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple project budgets, timelines, and deliverables related to installation programs across retail, event, construction, showroom, and corporate office environments. In this role, you will act as the central hub for all project information, ensuring critical delivery, quality, and pricing expectations are met while supporting profit margin goals. You will take ownership of projects from concept through installation, translating client intake briefs and managing the full production lifecycle and on-site execution. You will work in a collaborative role with account teams, creative, visual merchandising, and site personnel, while mentoring junior team members and serving as the primary escalation point on complex or high-risk projects.

We're looking for someone with experience managing a high volume of projects with multiple moving parts, particularly for signage, display, and installation work. You must be adept at managing various stakeholders, meeting strict deadlines, and ensuring high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

This is a remote position, and live project support is required, however on-site presence is not. All project management is done remotely with occasional nights/weekend coverage required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with account teams and client contacts, along with supplier network to ensure consistent, high-level delivery of project management
  • Serve as the main point of contact and liaison between client/account teams and site or installation crews, providing timely, solution-oriented communication.
  • Communicate at an extremely high level all project details, ensuring prompt, clear delivery of information across all forms of communication
  • Manage a high volume of projects — from concept through installation — with multiple moving parts and competing deadlines.
  • Drive projects through planning, development/ideation, quoting, production, and on-site execution phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and align appropriate vendors with required scope of work; possessing an advanced understanding of custom builds and fabrication methods is a plus.
  • Think innovatively and guide client teams on the feasibility of proposed executions.
  • Understand site layouts, renderings, and CAD drawings to inform visual and installation needs.
  • Create briefs, schedule and manage site surveys, and coordinate installations, including on-site installer management.
  • Establish and communicate budgets and schedules for each project; track and report project status regularly.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and troubleshoot unexpected issues with effective, timely solutions.
  • Guide and mentor Project Coordinators and junior team members, sharing best practices on an informal, dotted-line basis.
  • Partner with the Account Management team to shape project strategy contributing to account planning and client growth conversations.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of client business, brand language, and culture; stay current on client behavior and industry trends.
  • Ensure quality and on-time delivery of all production and installation work.

  • Understanding of POS, signage, visual merchandising/display props, and fabrication.
  • Account management experience preferred
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with significant budget responsibility.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite; ability to read architectural, construction, and layout drawings; Sketch-Up or CAD experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience mentoring or informally guiding junior team members.
