Job summary

Austin Commercial seeks a Senior Project Manager for its Aviation Division to lead major construction efforts from planning through closeout. The role emphasizes cost control, scheduling, safety, and team leadership across a large, employee-owned organization.

The PM will coordinate with owners, architects, and the Estimating team, ensuring design alignment, bid accuracy, and on-time project delivery while maintaining high-quality workmanship and compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• BS in construction management/science, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (may obtain within first year).
• Proficient in project management software.
• Proficient with cost projection, scheduling, financial analysis, budget reviews and labor reports.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Austin Commercial does not sponsor.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a major construction project by planning, scheduling and coordinating all phases.
• Organizes and manages a large project staff across multiple employee-owners.
• Works with owners/architects during plan development and with Estimating for bids and final cost estimates.
• Establishes and maintains a cost accounting system and monthly job status reports.
• Prepares and submits monthly pay requests to owners/architects and tracks payment delays.
• Manages master construction schedule with Scheduling department and updates CPM as needed.
• Ensures compliance with laws, codes, and company policies; addresses safety and quality matters.
• Leads and develops project staff and promotes internal growth.
