Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Project Manager I for our Austin, TX division to oversee commercial construction projects. You will assist in planning, scheduling, budgeting and coordinating all project phases with PM II support.

The role focuses on safety, quality, and timely delivery as part of a 100% employee-owned organization. Responsibilities include reviewing bids, ensuring contract terms are met, and maintaining cost controls while working with owners and architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree and OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling and cost projection is essential.
• Ability to lead direct reports and coordinate with owners and architects.

Responsibilities

• Assist PM II with planning, scheduling and coordinating all project phases.
• Support preconstruction with cost input, budget estimates and bid analysis.
• Coordinate with superintendent on site logistics, safety, and quality.
• Review subcontractor bids, ensure bonds/insurance, and manage change orders.
• Prepare monthly status reports and maintain cost accounting per guidelines.
• Develop and update master construction schedule with Scheduling dept.
