Job summary

AEP is seeking an experienced Project Manager for complex programs. The role emphasizes leadership, planning, execution, and risk management across multiple stakeholders to ensure safe, economical project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, leading meetings, and communicating status to internal and external audiences. PMP is preferred; travel up to 25-50% may be required in some assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or related degree in a field relevant to construction or engineering with significant experience.
• Experience in project management, major construction, and cost estimating.
• PM knowledge across scope, risk, contracting, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with expert level proficiency.
• Communicate detailed project/outage status and lead stakeholder presentations.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing while ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Represent the company with customers, vendors, and regulators as required.
• Provide training and guidance to teams to improve processes, schedules, and costs.
