Senior Project Executive – Design-Build Leader

Job summary

McGough is seeking a Project Executive to lead complex construction initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee design-build projects, manage client relationships, and ensure alignment of scope, schedule and budget with company goals.

Responsibilities include directing design, procurement, construction, and closeout; building teams, mentoring staff, tracking financials, and mitigating risk. Travel to various project sites is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture or related field.
• 15-20+ years managing large and/or simultaneous projects.
• Proven track record of successful Design-Build projects on time and on budget.
• Experience in managing large project teams over 30 people.
• Proficiency in project management software (Procore, P6, Autodesk, etc.).
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and standards including MEP trades, gas and chemical, HPW and industrial wastewater.
• Strong partnerships and trust with owners, owners representatives, design firms, and subcontractors.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction including design, procurement, construction and closeout.
• Lead and manage design-build projects aligning client expectations with company goals.
• Create regular meetings with designers, subcontractors, owner and staff for integrated design and construction.
• Develop strategic project plans for schedule, budget, procurement and design deliverables.
• Lead a cohesive project team and mentor staff for advancement.
• Manage budgeting, cost reporting, and change orders with strict financial oversight.
• Foster relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Travel to various project sites as required.
