Job summary

KFI Engineers is seeking a Project Executive for our Commercial & Healthcare group. You will guide major infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning, liaising with owners and stakeholders to align outcomes with business goals.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in engineering/project management within design-bid-build or engineering consulting, with strong leadership and a client-focused mindset. A PE is preferred. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15+ years in design-bid-build, construction or engineer consulting spaces.
• Strong project management in commercial/institutional environments.
• Construction site experience or time on a construction site.
• Experience leading infrastructure design/construction for higher education, K-12, municipal, hospital, medical, life sciences, or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Active business development experience including client meetings, scoping, proposals and contract negotiations.
• Excellent communication, influencing and collaboration skills.
• Travel up to 25% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Executive on large projects or clients with multiple projects.
• Lead business development: proposals, client meetings, scope, proposals, contracts.
• Provide technical and engineering excellence with focus on PM and project development.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by clear communication of project expectations.
• Manage projects and track KPI's, contribute to QA/QC.
• Mentor and develop other staff; lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop project scope estimates and stay within scope.
• Occasionally act as Project Manager for senior-level assignments.
