Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Project Environmental Engineer to join our expanding Department of Energy design team. This role can sit anywhere within the continental U.S.

You will lead remedial system design, prepare design drawings, specs, and calculations, and coordinate field activities and subcontractors on environmental assessment and remediation projects. Under senior guidance, mentor junior staff, manage schedules and budgets, and travel up to 25% to support startup and construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field
• Minimum 7 years of experience
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead remedial system design and assessments—develop design drawings (process-mechanical, PFDs, P&IDs), specs and calculations.
• Prepare startup plans and SOPs; delegate drafting to junior team members to improve efficiency.
• Conduct feasibility research on alternative design approaches and evaluate site conditions.
• Coordinate field activities including onsite treatment startups and construction oversight; supervise subcontractors.
• Manage project schedules and budgets; engage with clients and stakeholders in person as needed.
