Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical leadership for propulsion components and subsystems. The role entails day-to-day coordination of projects under the Program Chief Engineer, with close collaboration with the Program Management organization and engineering teams to resolve issues and keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Experience leading product development projects through SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs and PRRs type reviews.
• Strong analytical skills including physics, dynamics, and statics.
• Experience breaking down workload into functional engineering and operations teams.
• Experience presenting design solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-discipline engineering activities at the project level.
• Design, communicate, and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Prepare technical inputs to proposals, work statements, specs, and estimates.
• Translate design concepts into executable engineering tasks and manage testing.
• Monitor progress and coordinate resource, information, and decisions.
• Provide status updates and track risks, issues, and dependencies to closure.
