Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Project Engineer within the CTSE organization to lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and to deliver complex test engineering solutions. This role supports global operations, including customers and services across domestic and international locations.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, critical thinking, and data analysis skills, plus a track record of delivering on-time, high-quality projects and compelling proposals.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Prior project leadership of multidiscipline engineering teams and managing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead project technical execution and maintain performance metrics for decision making and continuous improvement purposes
• Manage project scope (requirements and change requests) ensuring it meets agreed to commitments
• Generate and maintain project schedules with understood dependencies, deliveries, and critical path
• Utilize Earned Value (EV) methods for managing project budget (and schedule)
• Ensure project meets quality expectations
• Identify risks and opportunities and resolve them through proactive ownership
• Prepare well-crafted presentations reporting project status to leadership teams
• Develop Engineering estimates and proposals for potential projects and gaining organizational buy-in
