Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across the U.S. You will develop and maintain cost baselines, collect monthly data, and assist in root cause analysis while ensuring risks are reflected in forecasts and reports.

The role requires deep knowledge of project management, budgeting, and EVM, plus proficiency with Primavera P6 and EcoSys. Domestic or international travel may be required, with strong collaboration and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 5 years of related experience preferred.
• US citizenship required for federal contracts.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs and updates requirements.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports for projects and discusses observations with the project manager.
• Maintains integrated critical path schedules and evaluates resource realignments to meet milestones.
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff and may supervise project team members.
