Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to support services projects across various locations in the U.S. You will develop and manage complex schedule and cost baselines, analyze data, and produce reports for stakeholders while ensuring adherence to federal regulations and internal controls.

The role involves collaboration with project teams, management levels, and international portfolios, with responsibilities spanning budget forecasting, risk assessment, and performance

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies.
• Understanding of project finance, accounting or business administration.
• Experience with large, complex construction projects preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and contact documents for work planning.

Responsibilities

• Develops time‑phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs and updates requirements.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports for projects and communicates findings to the project manager.
• Maintains schedules, conducts risk and performance analyses, and prepares standard client/status reports.
• Provides guidance and training to junior staff and may supervise junior engineers.
• Ensures compliance with internal procedures and government regulations.
